Moving to Fuerteventura

Unlike other countries within the EU, contraception is not free in Fuerteventura. Contraceptive pills are only available by prescription from a doctor or a gynaecologist. These pills can then be collected at a Farmacia.

The morning-after pill is often used in Spanish lands and can be obtained from your doctor or a gynaecologist. Showing your medical card will mean the price is greatly reduced for you. Again, this is not available over the counter at a Farmacia without a prescription.
