Fuerteventura Weather
The weather in Fuertventura is like no other place – anywhere! It can be summed up as dry, sunny & windy! The north to northeast winds are stronger in summer and have a relative cooling effect, although Fuerteventura is still warm all year round, which encourages visitors and new residents to the Island. Occasionally the winds will be from the Sahara – known as a Calima – and the dry dusty winds will raise the temps into the high 30’s or 40’s.
Any rainfall is likely to fall on Lanzarote in the predominantly northerly winds, therefore Fuerteventura is the driest of the Canary Islands. However, it is still possible to get several days of cloudy wet weather from December until April, and although rare, some thunderous downpours.
Whether cloudy or sunny it will always feel warm as the temperature generally remains around the low to high 20’s!
