Spam Emails in Fuerteventura
We received a particularly nasty spam email recently… and it is one that people could easily fall for… especially if they do not speak Spanish.
Things to raise alarm bells are:
Your own name or email address not being in the “To” section
Hovering your cursor over the link (don’t click it) bringing up dodgy code that doesn’t match the site it is supposed to
If you receive anything like this, just delete it. If you are concerned that perhaps you are missing something from your bank, then phone your own branch – they will tell you if someone has been trying to contact you.
And never EVER log in using your bank details, email or password to a website that you are unsure of.
Here is a screen grab to show you the email. Click it, to open it up full size.
Stay safe!
